Incubi are so cool. I've always been fascinated with the wide variety of mythology surrounding them, and now I'm writing my own twist on it. Creatures who are inherently erotic because they live on sex...

Yeah, I was going to write about them sooner or later.

Lawyers, however, are not as cool. Granted, I may be biased because I dropped out of law school, but I'm fairly certain most people would agree with me. When I left, I swore I'd never write about a lawyer. And then, in a moment of weakness, I decide to write about three.

I couldn't help it. I had the characters, and they could only be lawyers. Paul, Asher, and Riker are some of the most complex characters I'd ever developed. They each have unique gifts, unique personalities, and unique hardships. Whether they know it or not, they all need help coming into their own.

To help make them come to life, I figured they were worth cracking open my old textbooks. And doing the requisite research to be certain my rules of law were up to date.

Touching Fire should prove to be an interesting trilogy.
